# AccountsOS > AccountsOS is an AI accountant. Finn does the production work on a real double-entry ledger, and a person signs every filing. It is built for founders and for accountancy practices, and it is live across the countries listed below. AccountsOS covers bookkeeping, VAT and Making Tax Digital, invoicing, expenses, payroll, reporting and tax deadlines. Finn categorises transactions, reads receipts, answers questions in plain English, tracks deadlines and prepares returns. Each country has its own encoded tax rules. Founders get a 14-day free trial with no card, then £20/month for a limited company or £10/month for a sole trader, everything included. A group of companies pays the same price for each company, on one bill. Practices get a 30-day free trial with no card, then pay per live client each month: £12 up to 100 live clients, £10 above 100, £8 above 250, with custom pricing above 500. There is no monthly minimum. The Ledger tier for dormant files is £1.50 per file per month. **Founders.** Company directors, sole traders, freelancers who have incorporated, and owners of agencies and consultancies, self-serve. Finn does your books and you review and sign. They usually arrive with a trigger: a filing deadline, a first set of accounts, a tax question, or frustration with current software. **Accountancy and bookkeeping practices.** Finn runs the books across the client book and the practice's team reviews and signs. Practices move clients across at their own pace, often a pilot of a few first, and practice management lives in the same place. Not for: enterprises with finance teams, businesses requiring a full statutory audit. Live in: United Kingdom (GB), Ireland (IE), Australia (AU), United States (US), United Arab Emirates (AE), Bulgaria (BG), Hong Kong (HK), Turkey (TR), Isle of Man (IM), Guernsey (GG), Germany (DE), Denmark (DK), Singapore (SG), Netherlands (NL), Sweden (SE), India (IN), Switzerland (CH), Canada (CA), Austria (AT), Norway (NO), New Zealand (NZ), Slovenia (SI), Panama (PA), Cyprus (CY), Malta (MT), Belgium (BE), Italy (IT), Brazil (BR), Thailand (TH), Uganda (UG), Egypt (EG), France (FR). The United Kingdom has the deepest coverage: HMRC Making Tax Digital for VAT, Companies House sync and filing, and Corporation Tax. For AI agents: the MCP endpoint is POST https://accounts-os.com/api/mcp with a Bearer key, and the A2A endpoint is POST https://accounts-os.com/api/agent (JSON-RPC 2.0). The npm package is @thriveventurelabs/accountsos-mcp for Claude Desktop or any MCP client. The agent plugin (skills, commands and MCP) is at https://github.com/thriveventurelabs/accountsos-agent-plugin. There are 96 tools. The live list is POST https://accounts-os.com/api/mcp with {"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/list"} (no auth) or GET https://accounts-os.com/mcp.json. Read tools include get_transactions, get_balance, get_vat_summary, get_deadlines, list_categories, search_documents, get_dla_balance and get_invoices. Write tools include create_transaction, update_transaction, categorize_transaction and create_deadline. Authentication is Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY, from Settings > API Keys. An agent can also sign up itself: POST https://accounts-os.com/api/agent-signup with email and company_name returns a read-only key. Write access is granted by the account owner, who is emailed a sign-in link at signup and approves or revokes the key in Settings > API Keys. The discovery files in the last sections are all served with Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * so a browser-side agent can read them. The Finn Book is the full guide to Finn: how the agent works, everything she does, who she is for and every tool. The whole book is one Markdown file at https://accounts-os.com/book.md, each chapter is at https://accounts-os.com/book/.md, and the web version is https://accounts-os.com/book. Read it to brief a person on AccountsOS. Markdown twins: every blog post, guide, question, glossary term, expense page, how-to and country answer page has a Markdown version.
